What is your return policy?Due to the nature of these items all sales are final. If there is a handmade item in need of repair, I would be happy to take a look at it and fix it to the best of my abilities. Items from The Witch's Closet are exchangeable for store credit within 15 days of purchase. Buyer pays return shipping.

Do you take custom order requests? Some of my best creations have been custom commissions! I am always open to ideas and suggestions so please message me with your thoughts and questions.

How long have you been knitting?I taught myself to knit in 2011 via youtube. My grandma was a master knitter but she passed away before I discovered my interest in it. I am almost entirely self-taught; I would get a pattern and when I came to a stitch I didn't know I would watch a video and figure it out. I started selling knitted capelets in 2015 while on cast at The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (I'll definetly have some available on here as it gets colder). The Murder Dolls were born in 2018. I was a cast member in the Trick 'r Treat maze at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. I decided to adapt my grandma's teddy bear pattern to make a Sam doll as a gift for each of my two supervisors....then I made some for other cast members....and their friends....and then a super cool horror shop in LA asked me to sell them there on consignment (for 35% cut)...and I finally realized I could actually turn this into a business. And here we are! I still consider myself an intermediate knitter as I have yet to make a sock.

How long does each Murder Doll take you to craft? It depends on the doll! Some are faster than others; Sam is my quickest because he has the least number of accessories. I could probably make a Sammy boy in 8-9 hours from start to finish. Other dolls take me much longer. Coraline requires lots of focus because of all the different knitting patterns and color changes. I can make her rain coat in about 30 minutes now but developing the pattern took me a day and a half. My Twisty the Clown took me over 30 hours to build because he required so many elements and each was hand made and very small. They are very very much a labor of love, but it makes me feel so good to bring them to life!

Are your patterns available for purchase? Not yet but perhaps someday soon!

What is your sustainability mission?Sustanability is very important to me and I strive to be green in all areas of my life. By shopping at a small buisness you are already taking a huge step towards a more sustainable future, so thank you! Here are some of the sustainability practices at HMHS: *My workshop features LED lighting and energy efficent appliances. *Our felt is made from PET, which is derived from 100% recycled plastic bottles *We prioritize using material made from natural fibers and are in the process of transitioning away from acrylic yarn (part of sustainability is useing up what you already have before replaying with new, better options). *All patterns are designed on "scrap" paper. *We frequently source materials form second hand or thrift stores which is one of the best ways to stand against the fast fashion industry and divert unneccessary waste from landfills.

We believe that black lives matter, that love always wins, and that it is though sharing our unique perspectives with one another and listening that we will grow and learn and love even deeper. We stand against hate and oppression in all forms and strive to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone and every body. You feelin' these magic hippie love vibes over there? Good. Because I love you. And I'm glad you're here. Bet you didn't see THAT ONE comin', didya?
